Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to join a Federal Program working in Honolulu, HI .
Responsibilities of the Data Center Operations Manager include:
· Oversee all facets of data center operations, including capacity planning, system uptime, performance tuning, and adherence to DoD standards and RMF/ATO compliance requirements.
· Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of resilient, secure, and interoperable network architectures supporting PACAF data networks.
· Manage technical programs and projects, encompassing requirements gathering, scheduling, configuration/change control, risk assessment, and documentation.
· Deliver technical training, mentorship, and guidance to military personnel, government civilians, and contractors to strengthen operational capabilities.
· Incorporate facility infrastructure elements—such as power, cooling, cabling, and space planning—into IT modernization and sustainment strategies.
· Develop and enforce system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), configuration baselines, and continuity of operations plans (COOP) to ensure mission continuity and rapid recovery.
· Advise PACAF A6 leadership on emerging technologies, cloud and hybrid strategies, cybersecurity threats, and modernization efforts impacting enterprise data center operations.
· Maintain compliance with cybersecurity mandates, including STIGs, IAVMs, and DoD Cybersecurity Service Provider guidelines, as part of daily operations.
· Act as the senior technical escalation point for mission-critical issues, coordinating with higher headquarters and joint partners as necessary.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the Data Center Operations Manager include:
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution of higher learning.
· At start date, must possess current IAM Level III Certification. One or more of the following certifications in ACTIVE status are acceptable.
o GSLC - GIAC Security Leadership Certification
o CISM - Certified Information Security Manager
o CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (or Associate)
· 10+ years' experience integrating DoD and Army cybersecurity policy into IT projects.
· 5+ years' experience managing cybersecurity at the program level, including experience with planning, directing, and coordinating cybersecurity requirements for network and systems administration.
· 5+ years' experience in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
· Experience with:
o Army tactical communications systems.
o Mission Partner Environment enclave.
o USARPAC Area of Responsibility (AOR).
o Presenting and arguing for acceptance of new concepts to Senior Leadership
· Must have an Active U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
Compensation for the Data Center Operations Manager includes:
· Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
