Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking motivated and talented Senior Mechanical Systems and Analysis Engineers to support the Space Launch Systems (SLS) program in New Orleans, Louisiana and Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This role serves as a Vehicle Lead Engineer and provides overall leadership and guidance to shop floor engineering and technical execution teams. It is critical to ensuring the efficient operation of flight hardware production and maintenance, with a strong focus on problem-solving and technical authority.

Location: Kennedy Space Center - New Orleans, Louisiana
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical authority on the shop floor for all hardware-related issues
- Provide guidance and support to engineering and operations personnel in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges
- Utilize advanced problem-solving skills to address a wide range of technical challenges during production and maintenance
- Implement effective solutions that minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with design engineering to interpret engineering drawings and clarify engineering intent for mechanics, operations leaders, liaison/manufacturing/industrial engineering, quality, and program management
- Determine appropriate disposition of hardware and processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and production to facilitate rapid response and seamless operations
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to all stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices
- Mentor and train engineering personnel supporting production to enhance technical skills and knowledge
- Facilitate rapid execution of engineering drawing revisions in response to production build by coordinating integrated research packages with liaison engineering
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
- Typically 14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Compensation:
- Salary Range: $130,000 - $185,000 - (Compensation varies on position and relevant years of experience and education)
