Boeing Global Services is seeking a Program Manager to join our US Navy Legacy Programs Sustainment Team in Hazelwood, MO.

In this role, the focus will be on the sustainment of the T-45 Goshawk and AV-8B Harrier Programs as well as supporting the UJTS proposal to the US Navy. Specifically, this position will lead a team of Program Managers along with a matrixed team of functions including Engineering, Contracts, Supply Chain, Business Development etc. to support the T-45 and AV-8B programs as well as develop the UJTS proposal strategy and response.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads employees on business management activities in the area of Program Management
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives Acquires resources for organizational activities, oversees technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates direct and matrixed employees
  • Partners with matrixed mid-level managers to ensure program management best practices are understood and followed
  • Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates; knowledgeable of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization; understands the competition and the marketplace. Understands how to accomplish tasks through formal channels and informal network; understands the cultures of organizations. Applies this information in a way that contributes to the organizations strategic plan and bottom line.
  • The ability to achieve desired outcomes on projects, on-time and within budget. Ability to define the project, design and plan the project, and manage the project team. Ability to control and deliver project deliverables, project accounting and appraisal, and optimize the contribution of the people involved.
  • Travel up to 25%


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years' experience with program management and/or project management over complex programs from inception through fielding / sustainment transition
  • Experience with implementing and sustaining Program Management Best Practices
  • Experience leading teams either formally or informally (project leadership)
  • Experience integrating and collaborating across functions
  • Experience interfacing with and building positive relationships with external customers
  • Experience managing and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
  • Experience managing complex development projects
  • Experience with DOD and/or government acquisition processes


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with US Navy Customer
  • Experience developing program strategy and supporting complex proposals
  • PMP Certification

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $157,250 - $212,750

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
