Description:
Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment team to perform as part of the aircraft maintenance team supporting F-35 operations at Naval Air Station (NAS) Fallon, Nevada. This position administers control and accountability of all Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) required to maintain F-35 Operations. Performs hazardous material functions in support of aircraft maintenance activities.
What You Will Be Doing
Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• HAZMAT storage and issue, supply issue/turn in and other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
• Administers control and accountability of all Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) required to maintain F-35 Aircraft Operations.
• Continual accountability of company, or government HAZMAT in accordance with applicable local policy or government regulations.
• Maintains HAZMAT records and determines condition and arranges shipment of equipment requiring issue or turn-in
• Document HAZMAT quantities, status, or location in ALIS
• Conducts independent and government HAZMAT audits, develops, recommends, and implements policies/procedures as required by company, manufacture or government guidance.
• Provides guidance on company policy and government regulations pertaining to property accountability.
• Prepares periodic reports relative to HAZMAT as required by management or government
• The position will require the ability to work first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s). Candidates should expect to depart on temporary duty assignments with short notice, dependent on customer needs. This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations.
• Position may also require extended work hours.
• Candidate must be able to acquire and keep a flight line driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly required to lift up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, and twist.
• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an Interim Security Clearance prior to starting. Must be able to obtain and maintain Final Secret Security Clearance through out the duration of the assignment.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
• Supply chain / logistics / warehouse experience
• Experience working in an aviation environment
• Working knowledge of ALIS or equivalent logistics information system platform
• Experience preparing and shipping Hazardous Material (HAZMAT)
• Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, HAZMAT, Quality, and Security programs.
• Experience with Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:
• HAZMAT Handling Certification/Training
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Forklift certified
• Ability to prepare and ship material
• Knowledge of DOD supply and transportation practices.
• Proficient at Microsoft Office
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
