We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist Senior Associate to join our dynamic team, providing critical project management, administrative support, and cost oversight across complex government contracts and programs. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your advanced expertise in cost management, scheduling, and financial analysis to drive program success and make a tangible impact on mission-critical initiatives.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in planning, monitoring, and controlling project costs and schedules, ensuring contracts remain within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines. Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive project management and administrative support for contracts, projects, or business units, ensuring all activities are executed efficiently and in alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems, budgets, and financial forecasts for multiple projects.
- Monitor and control project costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost/schedule control systems.
- Perform detailed financial analyses, including funding profiles, sales outlooks, variance analysis, and schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential cost or schedule issues.
- Prepare program and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) plans to ensure all requirements and statements of work are accurately captured and scheduled.
- Track expenditures, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure adequate funding availability, including submitting timely requests for additional funding as needed.
- Incorporate contractual changes into control systems and maintain realistic cost and schedule baselines by staying aware of outstanding work.
- Prepare and present reports using Costpoint, CER systems, project dashboards, or CFT, including updates on percent complete and key performance metrics.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and related programs to coordinate work, organize reviews, and ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Represent the organization in project planning meetings, providing expertise on cost, schedule, and performance issues.
- Utilize technical expertise, familiarity with company policies and procedures, and independent judgment to execute complex tasks with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Strong financial knowledge and experience in managing government contracts, cost controls, and project budgets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with enterprise financial systems such as Deltek Costpoint is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project controls or financial management, including some supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to Obtain Public Trust Clearance.
