Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Building and deploying Web-based systems to the theater to provide a centralized source of data in a secure environment
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Advising leadership and combined staff on technical issues regarding long-range technical needs and strategies.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Instructing and assisting both novice and experienced users throughout the theater, and conduct technical evaluations of hardware & software to recommend upgrades and new acquisitions.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Acting as technical liaison and provide expertise to contemporaries in other naval theaters on Web-based database products.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must support one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Applying advanced Information Systems (IS) principles, concepts, theories, practices, and methodologies of communication via Telnet, FTP, WWW browsers, and email; 2) Conducting technical evaluations of hardware & software to recommend upgrades and new acquisitions; 3) Oversee a region -wide IM governance structure that improves command wide collaboration to foster a culture of internal and external IM/KM sharing. and 4) Applying practices used in the application of WINDOWS Operating Systems, DOD Cloud infinitives (Azure, AWS, Google, Flank speed and Office 365), TCP/ IP, IPX, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Extensible Markup Language (XML), and Scripting languages used for creating dynamic Web-based content; i.e., JAVA, JavaScript, VBScript, Active Server Pages, Server-Side ActiveX Controls and Structured Query Languages (SQL).
