Duties
Help
  • You will survey, design, install, maintain, test, repair, and uninstall a wide range of First Responder vehicle systems.
  • You will install, maintain, test, and repair public address systems and associated sound equipment used aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and surrounding areas.
  • You will manipulate automated and manual maintenance management/tracking systems, software and records, to include data entry, reports generation, data mining, trend analysis and various equipment usage, monitoring and documentation.
  • You will provide maintenance and instructional services to personnel in all aspects of electronic maintenance and operation.
  • You will conduct installation, utilization, modification, maintenance, and life-cycle sustainment of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

  • The mechanic is exposed to e1ectrica1 conductors, sharp objects and other hazardous conditions.
  • The Electronics Mechanic may be required to perform duties in an austere environment, including temperature extremes, wet/inclement weather and other environmental anomalies.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position requires rotating shift work.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (411), proficiency level (Intermediate) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification.
  • You will be required to frequently lift and carry, unassisted, items weighing up to 40 pounds. Sometimes required to lift and carry items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance from other workers.
  • You will be required to climb ladders, water and antenna towers up to three hundred and ten (310) feet in height, using proper safety and protective equipment.
  • You will be required, at times, to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, and stooping.
