As a COMBATANT COMMAND REPRESENTATIVE at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- This announcement is open to current permanent competitive service Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) employees. Appointment of Military Spouses (5 CFR 31.5.612). Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP), Acts as the Team Lead for the Combatant Command Representative Team to USNORTHCOM. Provides guidance and direction to ensure alignment with DTRA leadership's priorities. Provides supervisor with information on team members performance for semi-annual and annual evaluation reports. Represents personnel issues for supervisor when necessary and ensures regular communication on both administrative and operational concerns.
- Responsible for providing guidance and oversight in developing situation reports (SITREPs) and other updates to the DTRA Director, and other products as required. The employee would maintain communication and liaison with USNORTHCOM staff and its service components.
- Assist in coordinating key leader engagements and correspondence, perform other duties as assigned, and represent DTRA in general at USNORTHCOM.

- Telework Eligibility: This position is situational telework eligible only (weather, building power outage etc.) and subject to advance supervisory approval.
- Employee is not required to submit to a medical examination prior to employment but should be physically fit to perform his/her duties in an urban environment working within multiple buildings.
- Employee must receive necessary immunizations and vaccinations for duty in overseas/deployed locations as required.
- If deployed, the employee may be required to wear protective clothing or gear such as chemical agent protective masks, gowns, coats, boots, goggles, gloves, shield, and body armor.
- Position is Critical-Sensitive (3) requiring the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
- Availability for Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is required approximately 25% or less of the time.
- Valid official passport required with 180 days of assignment.
- This position is subject to the Lautenberg amendment to the gun control act of 1968 which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition.
- This position is essential emergency (E-E). In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by the proper authority.
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
- Providing vision and direction in leading a small high performing team in achieving results.
- Executing a strong understanding of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's mission and capabilities.
- Applying a broad-scoped understanding of DoD's CBRN-Defense and Counter WMD enterprise and functions.
- Possess a strong understanding of DoD Joint Operations, planning, and functions of a CCMD and high-level joint staff operations.
- Leading planning teams and working groups that provide actionable outcomes.
- Leading a customer focus in providing analytical support, developing projects, plans and policies, subject matter expertise and advice associated with countering WMDs and mitigating CBRN threats to the supported command.
