Duties

  • You will answer questions pertaining to rules and regulations governing the assignment and use of quarters; explain policies and house rules to occupants to verify compliance with standards, referring to responsible staff members as needed.
  • You will input applicant and occupant information in a computer system, issue room keys, and provide statement of non-availability when applicable.
  • You will answer and direct, calls to include wake-up service, call transferring, voice mail assistance, and maintenance help appropriate for customer assistance.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of general experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

In lieu of general experience , the following education may be substituted to meet the minimum qualifications requirement:

Two years above high school

OR

A combination of experience and education, which when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the requirement.

This position requires rotating shift work.

Hours of Rotating Shifts are
o 0700 - 1530
o 1530 - 2330
o 2300 - 0730

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

Relocation incentives as described in 5 USC 5753 may be authorized in accordance with applicable regulations. PCS is not authorized.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
