We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in System/Software Engineering and Mission Planning to lead a large Systems Engineering Contract for the Department of Defense.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the execution of a complex systems engineering contract, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of high-quality products and services
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with DoD stakeholders, including program managers, engineers, and logistics personnel
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of systems engineers, software developers, and mission planning specialists
- Coordinate and integrate the work of multiple subcontractors and vendors to ensure seamless execution of contract requirements
- Develop and manage project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budget forecasts
- Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and DoD policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in systems engineering, software development, or mission planning, with at least 5 years of experience in a program management role
- PMP certification or equivalent
- TS clearance - SCI eligible
- Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex contracts or programs
- Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes and procedures
- Experience with running Agile software projects and DevSecOps practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field)
- Experience with DoD systems engineering and acquisition processes, including the Defense Acquisition System and the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)Familiarity with ITAR and export control regulations
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and cybersecurity best practices
