They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in modern web development and cloud technologies.
Location: Remote but local to Washington DC
Pay: $50 an hour
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. - Develop and maintain web applications using TypeScript, CSS, SASS, HTML, Node.js, and React.js (or other JavaScript frameworks).
- Design and implement scalable solutions on AWS using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and CircleCI.
- Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker for application deployment.
- Write and maintain scripts in Python and Bash for automation and process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
- Integrate RESTful API endpoints with the React frontend to fetch and manipulate data.
- Debug and test applications using tools like Jest and React Testing Library.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the React.js library for building user interfaces and Single Page Applications (SPAs).
- Mastery of HTML and CSS for structuring and styling web pages.
- Proficiency with Node.js for building server-side applications and managing dependencies with npm or yarn.
- Experience with Python/pytest for building packages and writing unit and integration tests.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git for collaborative development.
- Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with Terraform for cloud resource management.
- Familiarity with core AWS services such as AWS Lambda, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EC2, RDS, CloudFront, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure / Office 365, particularly SharePoint.
- Strong API integration skills.
- Proficiency in debugging and testing React applications.

- At least 4 years of experience working with AWS services and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and containerization (Docker).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification.
