As a Unarmed Security Officer - Access Control in Carson, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

In this role, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include managing access points, verifying credentials, and responding to security-related situations with professionalism and exceptional customer service. You will be visible throughout your assigned area, assisting with badge checks and collaborating with team members to maintain a secure environment. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:
DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points at the location.
• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document and report any unusual or suspicious activity observed during shifts.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
