Job Description

As a Security Professional - Telecom Site - Overnight Shift in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Access Control Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in monitoring and managing entry points at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible throughout the site. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This post may include working in limited on-site facilities such as a rustic guard shack, and you will use technology like computers or tablets to document your activities. As this position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, you may also be responsible for driving-related tasks. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the location, following all site-specific policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
• Work closely with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs specific to a technology, media, or telecom environment.
• Participate in emergency response activities as required, maintaining communication with appropriate personnel and authorities.
• Maintain accurate records and logs related to access control activities and observed incidents at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience working at limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
