Job Description

As a Security Officer -Healthcare Center - Multiple Shifts in Walnut Creek, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare operations by monitoring and coordinating security-related activities throughout the location. Your responsibilities will include maintaining communication with onsite teams, responding promptly to incidents, and assisting in managing emergency situations. You will help to deter unwanted incidents by staying alert and providing a reassuring presence, while also delivering exceptional customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. This role requires comfort with technology as you will utilize computers or tablets to document events and communicate vital information. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and operate communication systems to receive and dispatch calls for service within the healthcare location.
• Coordinate responses to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, relaying information to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of all calls, incidents, and security-related activities.
• Provide customer service by assisting staff, visitors, and patients with security-related inquiries and information.
• Collaborate with on-site Allied Universal staff to communicate updates and support emergency response activities.
• Follow site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders relevant to the healthcare environment.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and authorizing personnel or visitor movement as directed.
• Report observed irregularities and/or suspicious activities to management and/or local authorities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be comfortable receiving required hospital vaccinations.
• Applicants must be able to physically restrain individuals in a hospital setting as needed.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
