Job Description

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Flower Mound, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be an integral part of a team providing security-related services at a dynamic technology, media, and telecom location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents, and responding promptly to any security-related situations. You will also play a key role in fostering positive interactions by offering exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior within the location, reporting observations according to procedures.
• Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, hazards, or other security-related matters.
• Document security-related activities and incidents according to established protocols, maintaining accurate and timely records.
• Assist with emergency preparedness activities and participate in drills as required by the location's policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
