Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Business Analyst II with a TS/SCI security clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Washington, DC.

Kadiak LLC is seeking a skilled Business Analyst II to support our FBI client in Washington, DC. This role serves as a critical liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring requirements are accurately captured, solutions are effectively designed, and implementation proceeds smoothly. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with Agile methodologies. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance appropriate for work with federal law enforcement clients.

As a Business Analyst II with Kadiak LLC, you will work closely with our FBI client to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications that guide solution development. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with customers and stakeholders
  • Document and analyze business processes, identifying areas for improvement
  • Develop detailed business requirements and translate them into user stories in JIRA
  • Create and maintain process workflow diagrams and business documentation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between development teams and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with application developers to develop solution prototypes iteratively
  • Support testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Manage JIRA boards and track tickets through the development process
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily scrums, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Provide functional expertise to development and testing teams
  • Deliver regular status updates to project management
  • Coordinate with external teams to facilitate intersystem solutions
  • Conduct user training for implemented solutions as needed


Education and Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects
  • Demonstrated experience with federal government clients, preferably law enforcement or intelligence agencies
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and serving in a Scrum Master capacity
  • Top Secret Security Clearance


Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Experience with requirements gathering techniques and business process analysis
  • Proficiency in JIRA and other project management/tracking tools
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience facilitating Agile ceremonies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create clear, concise process documentation and workflow diagrams
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing procedures
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in managing stakeholder expectations and resolving conflicts
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • TS/SCI Clearance required


Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Previous experience working with FBI or other law enforcement agencies
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification
  • IIBA Certification (ECBA, CCBA, or CBAP)
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of database concepts and basic SQL
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Microsoft Visio or similar
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
  • Experience with requirements management tools beyond JIRA
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and compliance requirements
  • Prior experience in system integration projects
