Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a full-time Project Manager to be a part of our Technical Planning and Execution team working on the US/UK TRIDENT Submarine Strategic Weapon System and Modernization programs. The selected candidate will work closely with numerous engineering teams supporting the Strategic Systems Programs Office to drive the execution of systems engineering, integration, and test activities related to ongoing sustainment and future design iterations of the Strategic Systems Program.
The selected individual will work closely with SSP Government and industry partners to transform legacy systems engineering, integration, and test capabilities into model-based systems engineering methodologies that enable SSP to continue to be the DoD's premier Weapon System Integrator (WSI). Our organization has supported the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) continually since the program's inception in the 1950s. SSP developed the first sea-based, underwater-launched Strategic Weapon System (SWS), a defense system that is truly critical to our national security. For more than six decades, SSP has maintained and upgraded this weapon system and we have been there every step of the way. The sea-based SWS is the ultimate stealthy weapon system and as the first leg of the U.S. nuclear triad. With over 70% of our nation's nuclear arsenal its importance to maintaining world peace cannot be overstated. The development of Columbia, the most advanced nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed submarine ever designed, as well the next D5LE2 weapon system is under way and will begin to be rolled out over the next decade. The Navy projects this system to be operational through 2084, meaning the program will have a total life span of more than 120 years. This is a truly unique program and BAE Systems employees on this program understand they are part of an important legacy.
As a decades long sole source partner on multiple contracts on behalf of our customer, our program has remarkable stability and is concurrently experiencing significant growth. Education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field and at least 4 years of experience in Technical Project/Program Management.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

- Communicating the Shipboard Modernization Program vision and direction to functional areas to ensure the Continuous Development model is implemented in a timely manner.
- Performing horizontal integration planning, and interface with other functional areas, ensuring that technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner.
- Coordination of multifunctional responses to technical scenarios and delivery of reports in a timely manner
- Embracing Model Based Engineering principles set forth by the Systems Engineering Transformation Team.
- Facilitating Systems Engineering technical reviews, technical studies/analyses/deep dives and providing solutions/recommendations to Government clients
- Attending customer staff meetings and meets frequently with the customer technical leads.
- Ensure high-quality, value-added communications, status reporting, issue resolution, and stakeholder management across customer leadership, managers, and program staff.

- Have excellent communication skills with experince presenting information to audiences and to high level officials
- PMP certification
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Knowledge of the Trident II SWS architecture, subsystem interfaces, and testing requirements
- Working knowledge/experience with the SWS and/or AWS
- Ability to exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
- Sound understanding of SSP organization with detailed knowledge on SSP systems engineering and test and evaluation policies and procedures
- Ability to apply and/or develop highly integrated plans from program principles and concepts meeting program objectives
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relations with customers to solve technical problems and implement solutions of extremely high complexity
- Ability to ensure that technical outcomes are consistent with established engineering principles and practices and that customer and company technical, system, performance, and quality requirements are met
- MIT MBSE Certification or equivalent
- Master's degree in engineering, management, or related fields
Pay Information
