Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.

Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support the design, configuration, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions in support of the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Enterprise Technical Services (FETS) contract. The developer will work closely with the ITSM, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and quality service management teams to implement scalable, secure, and effective ServiceNow modules aligned to FCC business and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced ServiceNow modules and workflows, including ITSM, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Discovery, Service Mapping, HR Service Delivery, and Customer Service Management
  • Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and technical leads to gather and implement requirements
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and develop scalable solutions using ServiceNow best practices
  • Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs
  • Support configuration management databases (CMDB), scripting, catalog items, and mid-server functionality
  • Knowledge and experience implementing service catalogs, self-service portals, and CMDB accuracy.
  • Create and manage service improvement stories within the Continual Service Improvement (CSI) registry
  • Support the development of KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to track performance, ROI, and business value
  • Contribute to the ServiceNow governance process and ensure compliance with change control and security policies
  • Assist with platform upgrades, patching, testing, and migration to production
  • Guide junior developers and support knowledge transfer within the team
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate and 6+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • High School and 8+ years of relevant experience
    • ServiceNow development experience, including custom application development and advanced module configuration
  • Active ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator
    • Certified Application Developer and/or Implementation Specialist (preferred)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Public Trust Clearance


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience supporting federal IT environments and aligning ServiceNow capabilities with FISMA, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust principles
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodology and DevSecOps pipelines
  • Excellent scripting skills (JavaScript, Glide, Jelly) and experience with ServiceNow APIs
  • Development experience across multiple modules, with particular experience in Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and Customer Service Management (CSM).
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Experience with UI/UX design
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and management
  • Able to provide configuration management advice and guidance to the CMDB Product Owners
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Able to conduct audits to assess the health and overall data accuracy of the CMDB
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
