Team Submarine's Submarine COLUMBIA Class Program Office is responsible for: The construction of COLUMBIA Class submarines, financial and budget management, shipyard support of submarines, vendor support of submarines, logistical support, quality assurance (SUBSAFE), and post-delivery submarine certifications and test programs.
The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

In this role, you will:
- Be the submarine crew development Subject Matter Expert to include, but not limited to, submarine program development, crew training development, qualification and certification program development, maintenance practices, maintenance schedule development, and major inspection preparations.
- Support ship's force technical training development and assessment.
- Participate and monitor technical exchange meetings between ships' force and Electric Boat.
- Provide strategic analysis, risk assessment, assist crew leadership in the development and execution of the above.
- Provide feedback to the government customer and crew senior leadership on crew performance of the above.
- Provide research and analysis of historical performance and best practices to accomplish the above.
- Interact with Electric Boat personnel and crew personnel on development of plans to meet construction milestones and key events.
- Prepare reports and briefs, as directed by the customer, on crew performance and readiness.
Meet your Recruiter:
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- An active Secret Clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree OR at least 20 years' active-duty submarine experience.
- 10 years of experience.
- An advanced MS Office skillset to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment accepting emergent tasking with little to no supervision and/or direction.
- Discretion in performing specified work requirements.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with a vast team of diverse professionals.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines, as well as work independently and with sufficient knowledge to present projects to senior management.
- Ability to travel 10%.
Preferred Experience Includes:
- Senior submarine crew leadership or ISIC oversight experience in submarine new construction or overhaul.
- Submarine pilot experience.
- Submarine maintenance material management experience.
- Submarine LTD experience.
