Responsibilities:
Conduct safety analyses, including Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Hazard Tracking Logs (HTLs).
Review and analyze mechanical, electrical, and software designs for hazard identification and compliance with safety requirements.
Develop safety documentation such as Safety Assessment Reports (SARs), Safety Program Plans (SSPPs), and support safety approval processes.
Collaborate effectively with engineering teams, program management, subcontractors, and government customers to communicate safety risks and mitigation strategies.
Participate in system safety working groups and support technical reviews.
Continuously update knowledge of industry and DoD safety standards and best practices.
