We are seeking a skilled PTC Windchill PLM Administrator & Developer to join our Product Lifecycle Management team. This role is instrumental in managing, customizing, and optimizing our PTC Windchill PLM platform to support our Navy and Department of Defense customers.
• Position: PTC Windchill PLM Administrator & Developer
• Location: Ocean Springs, MS
• Position Type: Full Time position
As a PTC Windchill PLM Administrator & Developer, you will be responsible for both the technical administration and the development/customization of the Windchill PLM environment. The ideal candidate will have strong system administration skills combined with hands-on development experience, ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, and tailored to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PTC Windchill environments.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, groups, and security settings.
• Monitor system health and performance, ensuring uptime and stability.
Custom Development & Configuration
• Develop, customize, and extend Windchill functions using Java, JSP, and Windchill APIs.
• Configure lifecycles, workflows, and business rules to align with organizational processes.
• Implement and maintain integrations with CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and enterprise systems (ERP, MES).
Support & Maintenance
• Provide 2nd/3rd-level technical support for Windchill issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, and integration problems.
• Apply patches, updates, and system fixes in coordination with IT and PTC support.
Backup & Recovery
• Manage backup processes and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with security standards.
Documentation & Training
• Create and maintain technical documentation for system administration, customizations, and integrations.
• Develop and deliver user training sessions to maximize adoption and efficiency.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with business stakeholders, engineers, and IT staff to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, system planning, and deployment activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a PTC Windchill PLM Administrator and Developer.
• Strong understanding of Windchill modules (PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, etc.), system installation, and upgrades.
• Proficiency in Java, JSP, and Windchill APIs for customization and integration.
• Hands-on experience with Info*Engine, Workflow automation, Lifecycle management, and data migration.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux server administration, Oracle/SQL databases, Apache/Tomcat/Weblogic environments.
• Experience with CAD integrations (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and enterprise system integration.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system optimization skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be United States Citizen and can secure and maintain a Secret DoD clearance.
