The Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) comprises more than 100 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, product support, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects in the Navy's Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the Navy's Team Submarine Office. #FC
SPA's IWSG office is located at 20 M Street in Southeast DC, conveniently down the street from our clients at the Washington Navy Yard. A hybrid work environment is allowed, but you must have the ability to regularly work on-site in DC. #FC
Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated Junior Systems Engineer to provide support to the Future X-Band Radar Program the U.S. Navy Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS), Above Water Sensors (IWS 2.0) Directorate. We expect to fill this position immediately!
Y ou will provide Planning, execution and closure of System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) and associated SETR walkup events in accordance with the NAVSEA/PEO IWS Technical Review Manual, Technical Interchange Meetings, and various FXR Working Groups.
Learn quickly from Technical Radar Subject Matter Experts and rapidly contribute to the highest priority efforts. Participating in system requirements and related documentation, Risk Management, and Configuration Management, including assisting with Local Configuration Control Boards (LCCB) preparation, coordination, and execution as necessary. Support Requirements Management including the trace and allocation of requirements and alignment with platform and combat systems requirements. Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) management, reviews, and comment adjudications, including model based and DOORS deliveries.
Leading the development of the highest priority SE documents such as the Systems Engineering Plan. Provide technical advice, recommendations, and solutions for emerging engineering issues and topics (e.g., advise on design drawings). Provide meeting attendance/support, presentation development/support, publication support, correspondence, action item tracking/closure, and weekly reporting. Provide inputs to overarching programmatic briefs as required

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Desired
- Technical knowledge or experience on radar systems, with an emphasis on Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection (EA/EP)
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering/design drawings to decipher and interpret technical information
- Knowledge and experience in US Navy
- Familiarity with the DOD Acquisition Process and/or experience with warfare sensor systems
