As a Security Officer - Armed Government Facility - Part Time in Bartow, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
• Communicate and collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency services as required by site protocols.
• Prepare detailed and timely reports of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly address security-related issues or hazards within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Must have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
