Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, staying highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing a reassuring presence for all individuals on site. This position is both armed and requires driving, so you will be expected to carry out your duties while equipped and mobile, responding promptly to any incidents or requests for assistance. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Monitor for unusual activity and/or potential threats, reporting observations according to established protocols.
• Interact professionally with personnel, visitors, and the public while maintaining a visible presence at the location.
• Carry and maintain authorized firearms responsibly, adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to security-related incidents, patrols, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Must have at least one year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military role.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
