The Tier 1 Helpdesk Support position is a fulltime, 100% remote position that may require Saturday hours. Although the position is 100% telework from home, you must live within a commutable distance from the client's Merrifield, VA location. Training and retraining are held in the Merrifield, VA location. The role will be responsible for receiving in-bound calls from internal customers using mobile delivery devices. These devices are used to track mail and packages around the country. Candidates must have an enthusiastic customer service attitude with strong computer and communication skills. Must be energetic, positive and willing to learn.

Essential Functions:
- Most schedules require work between the hours of 7am to 7pm, Mon - Sat.
- On-call availability for short notice coverage, on an as needed basis, during Helpdesk Hours of Operation, Mon - Sat, 7am - 2am.
- Some other options may be available.
- Availability to work in the Merrifield, VA office, on an as-needed/requested basis.
- Intro position candidates with room for growth; customer service experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable answering emails and phone calls.
- Must be able to provide basic help for minor problems, scripts and training will be provided.
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates mobile device issues and customer needs.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Will perform others duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's Degree is required, or an equivalency of two years of relevant helpdesk experience.
- Prefer at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area (must be in addition if equivalency experience is being used for degree requirement).
- Experience using MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, and Access) and specialized software.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Typically reports to a manager.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test.
- Must be able to work from home in a quiet location. A laptop with camera will be provided.
- Candidate must be able to sit, stand and work at a computer for prolonged periods.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
