Seeking a Florida licensed Building Plans Examiner in accordance with Florida Statutes
(FS) 468.604 to perform reviews of third-party plans for proposed construction work for
non-NASA projects at Kennedy Space Center in accordance with FS 553.79 and
553.791.
Review Center Partner Project Approval Process (CPPAP) forms and construction plans
to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, zoning regulations,
NASA policy, and safety standards.
Review third party plan review affidavit and inspection affidavit to ensure compliance
with appropriate project scope and technical requirements.
Conduct inspections on new construction, renovation, and demolition projects to ensure
adherence to approved plans and code requirements.
Collaborate with other departments, Environmental, the KSC Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) office, and the Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) office to
ensure comprehensive compliance with all regulations and timely reviews of CPPAP
documentation.
Consolidate review comments.
Provide recommendation to approve, approve with comments, or reject CPPAP forms for
construction and modifications of buildings, structures, and facilities.
8. Provide guidance to KSC, Commercial Partners, and others, as appropriate, on CPPAP
process, building codes, construction requirements, and construction safety.
9. Address and resolve issues related to code violations, ensuring that they are rectified in
accordance with building regulations and in coordination with the appropriate Technical
Authority.
10. Maintain accurate records of inspections, approved forms, violations, and
correspondence related to building projects.
Manage access, utilize, and update a Government-provided electronic database to track
construction projects documents reviews.
Review deviation requests and provide recommendation to the appropriate KSC office.
Perform office and field-based work, including frequent visits to construction sites.
Master’s degree in related discipline plus eleven (11) years of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in related discipline plus thirteen (13) years of related experience; or Associate’s Degree plus fifteen (15) years of related experience.

Pay: $47,515.11 - $80,000.00 per year
