Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed TWIC Patrol in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding to any situations that may arise. This armed position requires you to be alert and ready to address any security-related concerns while upholding our core values of reliability, agility, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to clients and visitors at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed response.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial facility, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control access points for personnel and vehicles, verifying credentials as required by site protocols.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Assist with emergency response activities, following established protocols and communicating with site management and law enforcement as needed.
• Remain alert to potential hazards or unusual conditions within the industrial environment and promptly report findings to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
