As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrol - Part Time in Jackson, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. You will interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. Utilizing your attention to detail, you will monitor access points and support the enforcement of site protocols. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with the management of situations as they arise.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any irregularities.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity, especially in areas where chemical and petrochemical operations are present, and report findings according to site protocols.
• Document all activities, incidents, and observations in a clear and timely manner as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local emergency services as needed to support security-related operations and emergency response.
• Follow all protocols and procedures relevant to chemical and petrochemical environments during patrols and other assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
