Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Site Patrol in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play an essential role in maintaining a secure environment within a high-end retail location. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. You will also be expected to provide exceptional customer service, assisting visitors and staff with professionalism and courtesy. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with access control and/or crowd management as needed during peak shopping periods or special events.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of security-related incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Support emergency response activities as required, including coordination with local law enforcement or emergency personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
