As a Security Officer - Education Facility - Full Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to foster a secure environment within an educational location. Your primary responsibilities will include patrolling assigned areas, staying highly visible to help to deter incidents, and responding promptly to security-related situations. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, demonstrating exceptional customer service and strong communication skills. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while you assist with access control and maintain a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide a visible presence.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the location.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors by providing directions and information as needed.
• Collaborate with campus personnel and local law enforcement as directed during incidents or emergencies.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on all incidents and activities during each shift.
• Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report maintenance or security-related concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
