Job Description

As a Security Officer - Government Site Patrols in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in supporting a government location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those you serve. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication at all times. This position requires you to be proactive, approachable, and dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or hold a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving responsibilities within the job state.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with X-ray screening is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
