Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing maintenance for real property equipment such as compressed air, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), fire protection, domestic hot water, and specialized equipment such as Direct Digital Controls (DDC); 2) Using computerized management systems for planning and estimating, record keeping and scheduling facilities inspections; 3) Preparing plans for the work to be accomplished by the shops for all work generated by the preventive maintenance programs; 4) Investigating repeated equipment failure and determining the cause and proper course of action required to remedy the problem; and 5) Maintaining facility equipment such as HVAC and Fire Safety inventory.

A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major study in a field related to the position.

Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a major study in a field related to the position.

- You will manage the PM program, using systems for planning, scheduling, and record-keeping (maintenance, inspections). You will determine PM frequencies/levels, ensure inventory accuracy, manage tickets, and provide annual PM cost estimates.
- You will plan and oversee preventive maintenance, assess equipment conditions, investigate failures, determine solutions, and ensure quality and timely contract work.
- You will review buildings/equipment drawings, estimate labor and materials, track deliveries, and prepare cost estimates to ensure maintenance projects stay within budget and meet preventive maintenance and inspection goals.
- You will issue work orders, estimate labor and materials, assign work centers, prepare purchase specs, support inspections, and help prioritize long-range maintenance plans based on work requests and inspection reports.
