Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as a Technical Compliance Lead. In this role, the IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) will help with the interpretation of Federal Government Policy, Law, Directives, Standards, Executive Orders, and other requirements that are required to be implemented within the FBI and its components as it relates to cybersecurity.
The ability to take these documents and translate requirements from non-technical to technical, and vice versa, is paramount and an ability to communicate these requirements to both technical and non-technical personnel through both verbal and non-verbal communication is required.
Successful IT Subject Matter Experts will possess the ability to interpret, understand, find, or provide a solution to a given problem is a required ability to assist OCIO and the FBI organizational units as a Technical Compliance Lead.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Responsibilities include:
- Reads, understands, and interprets Federal Government policy, law, Directives, Standards, Executive Orders and other requirements into actionable items.
- Works with required stakeholders both internal and external to the FBI to get requirements to fulfill the technical specifications met or exceeded within the required timeframe.
- Assists in leveraging resources throughout the FBI to fulfill requirements in a timely fashion.
- Establishes relationships with internal and external stakeholders to the FBI to accomplish the requirements set forth within the policy/directive/standard/document to allow for an effective and efficient use of resources to fulfill the requirement.
- Interprets, adapts, and overcomes obstacles while thinking innovatively for solutions to solve the requirement while enlisting the knowledge of others throughout the FBI.
- Engages technical personnel with management to design and implement solutions that adhere to required security documented requirements.
- Ensures that all Federal government security requirements, policy, guides, standards, and other requirements are met or exceeded during design and implementation of systems during design/redesign and implementation.
- Designs a solution based on requirements provided during discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Works with internal and external stakeholders to optimize current solutions to provide a more secure, optimized, and cost-effective solution for their system.
- Performs complex and advanced security architecture work in design, evaluation, planning, testing, and operation in support of system development, engineering and analysis, and research.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience
- In lieu of experience, industry recognized certifications can be substituted (ISC2 CISSP, ISC2 CISSP-ISSAP, ISSAC CISM/CISA, CompTIA CASP+, CompTIA SecurityX, CCDA, CCNP, TOGAF).
