Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Engineer to serve as the LCAAP Production Integration Engineer for PM MAS, located in Independence, Missouri. The LCAAP Production Integration Engineer will oversee and report on the technical aspects of products and processes transitioning to production at LCAAP, including Next Generation ammunition items. This role involves planning, design, and real-time engineering analysis, ensuring alignment with Government stakeholders and supporting significant upgrades to existing facilities.

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
  • Provide real-time engineering analysis, oversight, and reporting on products and processes transitioning to production at LCAAP.
  • Participate in planning, design, and facilitation activities of new equipment and infrastructure for RTD&E upgrades or new production capabilities.
  • Interface with Government stakeholders to support transition efforts and resolve technical or process issues.
  • Review and support transition project proposals and onsite monitoring of transition activities.
  • Witness and report on significant project events such as tests and prove-out processes, including weekend and holiday schedules.
  • Attend IPT meetings, track progress of actions, and address administrative or contractual issues.

Qualifications

Required Education:
  • Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.

Required Clearance:
  • Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain.
  • Must be a current US Citizen.

Required Skills:
  • Experience in system conceptualization, requirements definition, and system test and evaluation.
  • Familiar with statistical analysis methods, sampling and test techniques, data collection, and applicable regulations.
  • At least five (5) years of experience managing a professional staff
  • Demonstrated capability in developing technical concepts, plans, and solutions, and providing expert advice.
