Description

SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Program Analyst - Equipment Manager to support the Strategic Munitions and Material Analysis Branch in project and equipment management for the Specialized Munitions Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, IN. This role offers an opportunity to apply your current skills and expertise while providing a platform for further development and success.

In this position, you will collaborate with other professionals to solve challenging problems, participate in the sustainment, testing, and fielding of solutions critical to the Nation's security, and support our frontline warfighters. You will assist government customer and contractor team members with various projects and tasks, while building and maintaining strategic relationships with customers, sponsors, and related industry partners.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Engineering and Project Management: Support customers and sponsoring organizations in engineering, project management, equipment management support, configuration management, logistics, production, testing, and related tasks. Ensure ordnance systems are accurately prepared and documented to support fleet readiness.
  • Project Planning and Budget Tracking: Assist with project planning, budget tracking, and integrating test readiness activities into schedules. Conduct cost analysis, variance reporting, and track key test readiness metrics to support decision-making. Coordinate and distribute accurate status reports and support the preparation and execution of internal and external meetings, including financial planning and test readiness reviews.
  • Contractor Team Leadership: Provide oversight for individual contributors including technicians, support personnel, and experienced professionals. Ensure cohesive operations within the contractor team to meet customer productivity and satisfaction goals.
  • Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between customer and SAIC program management. Deliver ad-hoc information and contractually required status reports, including highlights of exceptional performance, customer needs or concerns, and overall task completion and deliverable reporting.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience; Master's degree and 1+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Ability to assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
  • Self-starter capable of working both independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment and convey technical information effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Proven facilitator with the ability to engage team members and stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to meet physical health, personal responsibility, and safety requirements to obtain and maintain explosive certification.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft software tools (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Candidate must be a US Citizenship.
  • Interim secret clearance with ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process


DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • ISO 9001-2015 or other Quality Control experience.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Experience with DoD Test and Evaluation.
  • Knowledge of Explosives or Ordnance Systems.
  • Familiarity with Naval Test Equipment.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
