Job Title: Senior HRIS Specialist Support

What you will be doing:
Conduct comprehensive HR studies that are extremely broad and complex, as well as proposes solutions to HR problems that are characterized by their importance, and severity. Performs a variety of quantitative/qualitative studies, as needed to identify relevant factors and develop solutions to HR problems that are long-standing or those that have been studied previously. Also, resolves problems and issues that often involve conflicting or incomplete HRD information. As needed, applies analytical techniques that include a wide range of variables. Addresses substantive technical issues/problems that include complex and sensitive matters. Conducts detailed planning in order to gather/interpret information/data required for assessing complex problems and issues.
Determines the most effective/efficient approach to meeting customer requirements and identifies ways to improve current services to customers in order to meet management s business objectives. Assesses situations that are complicated by incomplete data, which requires significant analyses. Participates in analyzing the impact of new/revised laws and regulations.

Position Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ Years of Experience
- Conducts extremely broad and complex HR studies. Identifies and resolves critical and long-standing HR problems, often involving conflicting or incomplete information.
- Analyzes the impact of new/revised laws and regulations. Refines existing work methods and techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Develops innovative solutions to complex HR challenges.
- Determines the most effective/efficient approach to meeting customer requirements.
- Supports processing of mass/individual personnel actions (realignments, reassignments, awards, appraisals, etc.). Processes corrections to personnel actions, including payroll implications (flow/no-flow, payroll regeneration).
- Analyzes systems resource utilization and performs systems capacity analysis and planning. Documents and reports system problems. Schedules and monitors' systems output.
- Analyzes and evaluates data accuracy, ensuring it represents the intent of the source personnel standards. Works with technical and functional experts to identify and correct invalid data.
- Recommends and initiates system changes/enhancements based on user needs.
- Coordinates and participates in system release testing.
- Coordinates DoD-wide Personnel Projects throughout the HRD.
- Evaluates the impact of proposed standards and procedures on HRD goals and objectives.
- Develops local guidance and procedures for disseminating technical and procedural standards.
- Provides training and implementation assistance to users.
- Consults with serviced organizations on reporting needs and process improvements.
- Ensures user understanding and compliance with security directives for HRD customers.
- Maintains and provides guidance on IT documentation and infrastructure.
- Monitors project activities and resources to mitigate risks.
- Maintains quality assurance processes.
- Collaborates with clients to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables and implements.
- Works effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills required:
- Knowledge in Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and USA Staffing (USAS).
- Human Resources Information Systems skills
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma
