Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to support a long-term, fully funded
Department of Defense (DoD) program through 2028. This position is based in Kansas City, MO,
providing end-user desktop support for a large enterprise network within the Department of the
Navy.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a secure environment and grow
within the Intelligence Community. The position will initially operate on a night shift, with flexibility
to transition to a preferred schedule after the initial period.
Key Responsibilities for the Help Desk Specialist
• Provide technical support for laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and other
network-connected equipment
• Troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, operating systems, Microsoft Office
applications, and video teleconferencing
• Collaborate with end users and government personnel to resolve technical issues
efficiently
• Support operations of the Enterprise Service Desk, including ticket management,
script execution, and call handling
• Ensure service level goals are met through timely resolution and documentation
Required Qualifications for Help Desk Specialist
• Active Secret Clearance
• 1+ year of IT support experience
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification (e.g., CCNA Security,
CySA+)
• Experience with troubleshooting, ticketing systems, and general IT support
Compensation for Help Desk Specialist
• Pay Range: $50,000 - $55,000
