Position Title: Global Command and Control System (GCCS) Administrator
Location: Jacksonville, NC (Camp Lejeune)
Position Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 USD
Security Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance required (TS/SCI preferred)
Certification Requirements:

• CompTIA Security+ (required)
• Microsoft or Linux system administration certification (preferred)


Years of Experience: 3 – 5 years direct experience administering GCCS or similar C2 systems



Roles and Responsibilities

This position is a dual-hatted role that reports directly to the Program Manager or designee. The GCCS Administrator provides on-site and remote support for Global Command and Control System (GCCS) operations in support of the Fleet Marine Force (FMF). The role ensures operational readiness, configuration management, integration, and troubleshooting of GCCS systems in garrison, during exercises, and in contingency operations, both CONUS and OCONUS.


Travel may be required at the request of the Government Customer, up to 20%.

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for GCCS administration and integration across Marine Corps tactical and enterprise environments
• Provide technical support for installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of GCCS applications, servers, and databases
• Perform system monitoring, health checks, patching, and security hardening in accordance with DoD and USMC standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve GCCS-related issues impacting mission operations
• Support data replication, COP (Common Operational Picture) management, and system interoperability with other C2 systems (e.g., JBC-P, AFATDS, TBMCS)
• Manage system accounts, access control, and security auditing in line with DoD IA standards
• Provide Tier II/III support for GCCS environments at Camp Lejeune and globally, as required
• Develop and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and knowledgebase articles
• Interface with FMF personnel, program offices, and joint/coalition partners to ensure effective use of GCCS
• Train Marines and staff on GCCS functionality, administration, and troubleshooting techniques
• Participate in exercises, operational tests, and evaluations to validate GCCS functionality and system updates
• Escalate critical issues requiring urgent attention to the Program Manager and Government leadership
• Remain current on GCCS software updates, security guidance, and Marine Corps operational requirements


Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (desired, not required)
• Must be able to obtain or maintain a valid U.S. Passport and be physically qualified to support exercises and contingency operations
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in GCCS administration, or equivalent experience with DoD C2 systems
• Strong understanding of system administration (Windows/Linux), networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, routing), and database management (Oracle preferred)
• Experience with GCCS components such as COP sync, system replication, and interoperability tools
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity compliance processes
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system and network issues under time-sensitive conditions
• Experience working with military or government customers in a joint/combined environment
• Direct operational support experience with Marine Corps C4I systems strongly preferred
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 operational support environment, if mission requires

Requirements
