PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is split between regular physical exertion when inspecting equipment, performing first article testing, performing maintenance and operator training, and office work being performed for the most part while seated at a desk or conference table.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed primarily in a shop setting with some work requiring travel away from the normal duty station. Field visits and inspections of equipment and facilities will place the incumbent in an industrial environment, around moving parts, machines, confined spaces and where chemicals or fuels are being used or stored. This may require the use of additional safety equipment: i.e., hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, facemasks, etc. The incumbent may encounter adverse weather conditions and occasionally be required to wear clothing and safety gear when inspecting equipment, performing first article testing, performing training, or visiting field activities.

- You will provide transportation services and vehicle/ equipment maintenance for all U.S. commands supported by PWD Rota.
- You will conduct maintenance, inspection and testing of Weigh-Handling Equipment, Material Handling Equipment, Civil engineering Support Equipment including light and heavy motor vehicles, and specialized equipment.
- You will be responsible in providing training and guidance to all subordinates and evaluate their performance to determine their ability to support various requirements of the program.
- You will plan, schedule, coordinate and direct a variety of work operations.
