Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing maintenance, repair, or modification to improve and increase the efficiency of facilities; designing projects, planning and overseeing work performed by carpenters, electricians, utility systems operators, janitors, and/or others; AND operating facility programs and services to determine facility, equipment overhaul, maintenance, restoration, repair needs.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

- You will provide advice and assistance to Detachment personnel on subject matters regarding all stages of facilities and equipment system regarding special machines/machine tooling.
- You will conduct field investigations to analyze the existing conditions of special tools and equipment used by the Production Shops for tooling projects on nuclear ships.
- You will direct/prepare technical documents which include, contract bid specifications, test procedures, training instructions, disclosures on new machine development, etc.
- You will coordinate conferences with production shops, engineering technical codes, NAVSEA representatives, Ship's Force and contract representatives on special tools and equipment required to support waterfront production activities.
- You will project obligations, expenditures and assets under development are tracked to ensure compliance with financial scheduled and budget allotments.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
