Duties

  • You will facilitate and assist in the monitoring, implementation and promulgation of DoD, DON and Navy IPO Security Cooperation (SC) / Security Assistance (SA) / Foreign Military Sales (FMS) related policy and guidance.
  • You will ensure that proposed and implemented SC/SA/FMS policies and procedures are in accordance with DoD, DON and Navy IPO objectives.
  • You will analyze, coordinate and recommend revisions to DoD, DON and Navy IPO initiatives and policies for SC / SA and FMS programs.
  • You will coordinate SC / SA / FMS related collaboration across the Maritime SC / SA enterprise to include SSCOs and Program Offices.
  • You will monitor implemented SC / SA / FMS policies, procedures and initiatives to ensure intended results in support of NIPO's mission and strategic plan.
  • You will advise leadership concerning policy goals and objectives for assigned programs.
  • You will report to Team Lead, supervisors and organizational leadership concerning the accomplishment, progress, and barriers related to assigned goals and tasks.
  • You will serve on a variety of functional boards and committees, and / or liaison with DoD, DON, other federal agencies and Navy IPO personnel.
  • You will conduct presentations / briefings at the Flag Officer, SES level within DON and organizational levels.
  • You will develop and review a variety of correspondence.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • AWF members must achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two years, in accordance with DoDI 5000.66.
  • This Defense Acquisition Workforce position requires a Program Management, Practitioner level certification. The incumbent has 60 months to earn this certification; Must obtain and maintain certification in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.66.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience applying DoD regulations, policies and directives applicable to Foreign Military Sales/Security Cooperation/Security Assitance. Experience designing, recommending, and implementing further guidelines, policies and instructions; and determining effects on programs and related resources.
