Duties

  • You will generate reports in support of security operations using automated databases or programs.
  • You will brief employees and visitors on controls and restrictions associated with access to Federal installations.
  • You will collaborate with local and regional suppliers to obtain items to meet the requirements of the program for routine and special items.
  • You will administer vehicle access or parking program to control commercial vendor and privately owned vehicles parking.
  • You will prepare correspondence in accordance with organization policies and type a variety of documents in final format.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Outside applicants claiming VEOA and VRA (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service) must meet specialized experience requirements equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Planning, organizing, or making recommendations for issues related to Access Control requirements; 2) Preparing and maintaining access control support documents and records; 3) Assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employee; and 4) Hearing and resolving complaints from employees.
