Description:
You will be the Avionics Technician for the FMS F-16 Program Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of F-16 aircraft avionics systems, and we implement repairs, replacements, and overhauls to guarantee optimal performance.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft avionics systems to ensure airworthiness. Your responsibilities will include:
• Repairing, replacing and rebuilding aircraft avionics systems, such as comm/nav, attack avionics, electronic warfare, flight instruments, sniper targeting pod system, and flight control systems.
• Determining feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components and assist with Periodic Inspections.
• Replacing or repairing worn or damaged components.
• Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits.
• Providing technical guidance and on-the-job training to customer technicians.

Further Information About This Opportunity

This position is at Edwards AFB, CA.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be a high school graduate or have completed an equivalent program.

Candidate must have at least 4 years' avionics experience with F-16 or equivalent fighter-type aircraft.

Have a working knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems/components on the F-16 or equivalent fighter-type aircraft at the organizational level of maintenance.

Must have progressive and documented experience in the fighter aircraft maintenance environment and be able to provide documented qualifications in related maintenance fields upon request.
Desired Skills:
Have held a USAF 7-skill level or 5-skill level in the 2A3X4 AFSC (or sister service equivalent MOS)

Aircraft Mechanic / Aircraft craftsman A&P License

FCC License

Previous Instructor experience

Experience with Maintenance Information System databases
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week

The base range for this position in California is $32.95 - $52.23.
