Job Description

As a Security Officer Retail Patrols in Kirkland, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout the property. Your presence will be highly visible as you monitor assigned areas, engage with visitors, and provide outstanding customer service. This position is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle, responding promptly to situations, and communicating clearly with both guests and team members. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Work collaboratively with location management, staff, and visitors to support a welcoming environment while maintaining security-related awareness.
• Complete required documentation and logs related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities as directed by Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• This position is primarily a driving post and driving responsibilities are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
