Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within an aerospace and defense location. In this position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned premises, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to those onsite. Your responsibilities will include monitoring for unusual activity, responding promptly to incidents, and interacting with personnel and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. You will be entrusted with carrying a firearm as part of your duties, reflecting the importance of this role in supporting the secure operations of a high-profile environment. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the business areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the facility to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, adapting to varying working environments and conditions specific to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
