Description:

The candidate shall be capable of performing the tasks &/or possess the skill sets listed below:

• Candidate possesses ~10+ years of experience with Linux &/or UNIX systems and the complex interoperability between Linux/UNIX and Windows.
• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server environments (v8-v9), ensuring their reliability, security, and optimal performance.
• Create, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and utilize advanced scripting (in BASH, Perl, JavaScript, or Python, for example) to automate or simplify tasks, enhance system functionalities, and troubleshoot issues. Must also be comfortable performing Administration and O&M tasks from the command line.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency (e.g., ~10+ years of experience) with such activities as Task Automation (Ansible & RHEL Satellite are preferred), Package Management related to installs and updates across geographically dispersed environments, NFTables/Firewalld/IPTables, ISC2 BIND DNS, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, Postfix/SMTP Relay, Linux Server Administration, Linux Server Clustering, NFSv3/NFSv4, PXE boot, and SELinux.
• Possess knowledge &/or familiarity with Mirantis Container Runtime (formerly Docker), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and GitLab
• Candidate will hold a ComSci/CIS/InfoSec/IT-related bachelor's degree (or higher) with ~10+ years of Information Security work experience or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, & IT experience.
• Candidate will hold and maintain a current (or one Red Hat version release previous) Red Hat certification, such as "Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)", "Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)", or higher certification. (E.G.: Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA))
• Maintain detailed documentation for system designs, configurations, processes, and service records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects, providing expert guidance and technical leadership.
• Lead and mentor junior team members in best practices and technical challenges.
• Ability to participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN connections, performance/throughput issues, and other related network problems.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Analyzes development and implementation requirements and makes appropriate modifications to existing systems and prepares specifications based on customer requests.
• Possess knowledge &/or familiarity with security hardening framework standards and regulations from the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Control 4, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 Revision 5, and Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
