Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for talented and driven AI Software Engineers with active TS/SCI clearance to become part of an innovative Federal AI Engineering Team focused on GenAI and public sector initiatives. In this position, you'll play a key role in delivering cutting-edge, AI-enabled mission solutions for government clients. Your work will involve building and optimizing scalable, high-performance platforms capable of processing billions of data points, while contributing to backend development, distributed system design, and machine learning infrastructure within secure environments. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable backend systems using cloud-native AI infrastructure for federal mission needs
- Develop distributed architectures and machine learning infrastructure to support secure, data-intensive applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders to define backend solutions and deliver impactful AI capabilities
- Build robust backend platforms that enable standalone AI products and accelerate customer innovation
- Engage directly with federal customers to gather requirements and deliver tailored, high-performance solutions
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmap for Scale AI's federal offerings, shaping future mission-driven technologies
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance required; TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) is a plus
- Proficient in Python with strong software development skills
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Expertise in data engineering, including ETL processes and building robust data pipelines to integrate and process diverse datasets
- Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and data governance best practices
- Experience working with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, and designing scalable ML infrastructure
- Knowledge of model deployment, serving, and monitoring strategies is highly desirable
Compensation & Benefits:
- $170,000 - $280,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
