Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced INS Lead to oversee network operations and infrastructure services supporting a mission-critical DoD environment at Ft. Belvoir or Quantico. The INS Lead will manage day-to-day network operations, monitor network health and security, and ensure the availability, integrity, and reliability of enterprise systems.
This position is ideal for someone with proven leadership, strong problem-solving abilities, and deep network operations expertise who thrives in a secure, high-demand environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of network operations specialists
• Oversee daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure
• Ensure continuous network availability, performance, and security
• Act as the escalation point for complex network incidents and outages
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and engineering teams to resolve issues
• Maintain documentation of network configurations, topologies, and procedures
• Enforce DoD security standards, policies, and compliance requirements
• Track metrics and report on network performance and incident resolution
Required Qualifications
• Active Secret Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship
• Experience leading network operations teams in a DoD or federal environment
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, security practices, and incident response
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Required Certifications (one or more)
• CompTIA Security+
• CND (Certified Network Defender)
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• Cloud+
• GCIH, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP
• SecurityX / CASP+
• CCNA, CCNP Security, CCSP
• GCED, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, GFACT
