Be part of the Joint Tactical Ground Station (JTAGS) mission—lead configuration management efforts to ensure system integrity, compliance, and operational readiness for mission-critical defense programs.
A Day in the Life – What You’ll Do
• Implement the program’s Configuration Management (CM) strategy within the Integrated Product Team (IPT)
• Develop, implement, and maintain CM plans, policies, and procedures
• Lead and oversee configuration identification, control, auditing, status accounting, and verification processes
• Ensure configuration control is applied to complex engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality assurance to manage product baselines and documentation
• Conduct configuration audits to verify requirements conformance and resolve discrepancies
• Provide expert CM guidance and support to project teams
• Maintain CM databases and tools, ensuring data integrity and security
• Lead and mentor other configuration analysts, providing training and best practices
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management and program leadership
• Lead and support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and daily CM/change management activities
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with at least 5–7 years of experience
• A current/active Secret Clearance at the time of application
• Progressive experience with the Change Control Board process and supporting Engineering Change Boards and Change Control Boards (CCBs)
• Experience with MBSE and requirements management tools, such as Cameo and DOORS
• Expertise with Project & Task Management tools: Jira or Confluence
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally inside the organization
• Experience managing design drawings, engineering changes, and design/configuration audits
• Ability to read and understand drawings of piece parts and structure assemblies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong executive briefing skills
• This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Teamcenter, CPLM PLM tool, Enovia, Windchill, and/or Costpoint or similar tools
• Domain knowledge of Configuration Management standards such as MIL-HDBK-61A, EIA-649B, and/or EIA-649-1
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 requirements, standards, and compliance issues
• Awareness of specialty engineering, modeling, and testing tools, such as MATLAB, Python, Cypress, Cadence Assura, or Siemens Calibre
