OSINT/PAI Analyst

Tyto Athene is searching for an experienced and detail-oriented Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT)/Publicly Available Information (PAI) Analyst to support intelligence production efforts. The ideal candidate will leverage modern OSINT tradecraft, tools, and methodologies to identify, collect, analyze, and report on relevant publicly available information. This role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with a wide range of PAI sources, and the ability to transform raw data into actionable insights supporting mission objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive OSINT/PAI research across digital media, social platforms, commercial databases, academic sources, and government publications.
• Identify trends, patterns, networks, and emerging developments relevant to mission requirements.
• Apply advanced search techniques, data fusion methods, and modern OSINT platforms/tools (e.g., Maltego, Babel Street, Dataminr, Echosec, SocialNet, etc.) to optimize collection and analysis.
• Provide actionable intelligence to stakeholders by synthesizing large volumes of open-source data into concise, accurate, and timely reports or briefings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrated intelligence analysis and inform strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, security regulations, and ethical guidelines surrounding open-source intelligence collection.
• Maintain awareness of evolving OSINT tradecraft, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve analysis and production.

Qualifications

Required:

• At least seven (7) years of experience in open-source intelligence or general intelligence analysis, with demonstrated expertise in leveraging modern OSINT tools and methodologies.
• Russian language experience is a plus.
• Experience integrating OSINT/PAI with other intelligence disciplines (e.g., SIGINT, GEOINT, HUMINT).
• Familiarity with disinformation detection, cyber threat intelligence, and adversary use of social media/online platforms.
• Knowledge of emerging global security trends and adversary information operations.
• Experience performing intelligence analysis in the Space or Counterspace domain
• Bachelor's degree or higher in International Relations, Political Science, Information Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in modern OSINT/PAI platforms, social media monitoring tools, and advanced search engines.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract critical insights from large, unstructured datasets.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly convey findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with information security practices and legal/ethical standards in open-source intelligence collection.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.

Compensation:

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $100,000-$120,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
